Yes that is the natural water table you see down the hole
What I want to know is, how he dug such a narrow deep hole without a post hole digger? I wonder if the water table is as 'well' reachable by us? Interesting!
Not a bad start, but he forgot to put in overhead cover,sandbags, and a grenade sump. Oh wait, that was the last time I had to dig a five foot hole... Much easier to dig a hole for a tree... good job Ben!
